Start of the Tour: Saturday September 27, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. from the Société Nautique de Genève.
Recommended boat: Gig, four with coxswain or other boats that can withstand the wind and waves of Lake Geneva.
Compulsory equipment: a lifejacket per participant, scoop, food, beverages, insurance (third party liability , and accident), ID papers, boat (not provided by the organiser). Boat number, lights, distress rocket (lent by the organiser).
Racing Licence: to be elibible to compete, each competitor member of a club member of the FSSA/SRV shall present prior to the start a valid and updated licence.
Race Instruction: further instructions will be given on Friday between 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.
Entry fee: CHF 200.-/ Euros 150.- per crew, has to be entirely paid no later than Friday September 26, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. when receiving the lent race equipment and race instructions after having signed the acceptance of the Rules of Racing. This fee includes the welcomes cocktail of Friday, hot food upon finishing th Tour, Sunday lunch, bunk beds from September 26 to September 29, 2008, prizes and souvenirs.
Prize Giving Ceremony: Sunday September 28, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. No prize or souvenirs will be sent to the crews.
Any rower having reached the age of 16, in perfect physical condition, well trained to meet the requirements of the Tour, able to swim at least 500 meters, in good health, presenting no counter-indications to the rowing activity on a competition level is eligible to compete.
All competitors shall participate to the race at their risk, and under their own and exclusive reponsibility, the organiser shall not be liable to any participant for whaterver cause.
